The local 4H of Hämeenlinna provides the following activities and services:
- Afternoon activities for school children in first and second grades, and pupils in special needs education in all grades as specified in the Basic Education Act. The purpose of afternoon activities is to create an opportunity for children to take part in all kinds of activities in their free time in a safe environment after the school day. We provide afternoon activities in Hämeenlinna in four schools: Normaalikoulu, Kirkonkulma, Ruununmylly and Konnari, and in Hattula in five schools: Hurttala, Parola, Pekola, Rahkoila and Nihattula. All the children taking part in the activities are covered by an insurance. Children are provided a snack during the activities.
- Playground activities for children over 2 years. You can leave your child in the care of the playground attendants for max. 3 hours, for a one time fee of 3,40 euros. The service is available throughout the year at Linnanpuisto park (next to the minigolf) on weekdays at 9-12 (at summertime 8.30 to 16.00).
- 4H clubs for first to sixth graders. Children can take part in all our clubs in Hämeenlinna by paying the 4H membership fee and a club fee, and in Hattula by paying the club fee.
